New Product - GT3 Rear Brake Cooling Ducts

A new item for the 2007-08 GT3 & GT3 RS models. This is the same set which comes on the 2010 GT3, and we just installed them on a 2007 GT3. They are a direct fit, some minor triming of the brake shield is required.

They pull air from the underside of the car, and channel it to the rear brake system. This results in lower brake temperatures leading to greater braking performance under high loads, as well as reduced wear.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

Haven't tested them yet on a 996 GT3, we will try to find a test mule. We know they will fit a 997 GT3 or RS, they will not fit a Cayman, Boxster, 997 C2/C4, or Turbo. If I can find more details I'll post it.

will it work on a 997 GT2 also? Can I order it from Germany?

We're guessing it will fit a GT2, but we will have to test it first. I'll keep searching, hopefully we will have one soon. If you want to get on the list, you can place the order over the site or the phone. We're slowly getting them in, we have many on order.

Here are some photos of the installed ducts. Thanks to Ric at Suncoast for the parts, and to GMG for the install. Very easy job to install. The upper bracket is put in place on the control arm, and then the duct is bolted onto the bracket. Parts fit perfectly on my 08 GT-3. There are debates as to how efficient the ducts are due to the shape of the shield, as it partially blocks air to the brake disks. The shield can be cut for more efficiency. I will wait until I hear back from others that are tracking their cars.

They look very nice! Any risk of channeling water when it rains on to the rotors?

Water-cooled rotors? Sounds like a good idea!
