Arrow Road trip to the Glen

Six friends and myself had our GT3's stacked in a semi and shipped to Watkins Glen last Friday. We drove this historical track for the first time Monday and Tuesday of this week. What a great race track, this course has a great flow to it.

Here's a couple of pictures and video...

Awesome trip Jim, I've been trying to have my nose to the grind stone the last few weeks so that I can join the GT3 club. In that sense, this has got me even more charged. I would love to do a trip like this some day.

How hard do you guys drive your cars?

When I watch your videos (and those of other private enthusiasts who own GT3's or similar cars and track them), I think that they look a little slower than vids Sport Auto or similar vids from youtube. Obviously anyone would be hesitant to push an expensive car to the absolute limit on a track (unless its your job as a journalist or test driver), especially when you're driving with your friends and they are in their expensive cars as well, but I was just curious how hard you guys go.

8/10 or so?

Probably about that. There is no race or prize to win here, you just want to end the day with a big smile on your face.

That was our first time at that track and I saw too many cars (none from our group) getting tangled in the blue bushes over the two track days. Kept me very focused.

Thanks for the reply. I would be very cautious doing that in my personal automobile. Plus, the more money I sunk into a car to make it .xxx potential seconds a lap faster, the more cautiously I would drive, negating the expenditure!

WOW, that sound! I really enjoyed your video Jim, thanks. Can't imagine what a blast that must have been. The Glen is truly a remarkable track!
