CGT vs SLR

Inmo, the SLR has a HUGE advantage over the CGT. Some are subjective others are fact.
The SLR is faster than the CGT. In this video the SLR is driven as an autobox. Had the owner driven it in manual mode the CGT would have never pulled it in the beginning. In automode the SLR has to kickdown to the lowest gear giving the CGT that huge jump. When you combine that with the fact that the CGT got the jump to begin with and the SLR still could come blowing by so hard on the top end.
When SECC Joe and I tested his CGT and my SLR on numerous runs both cars where dead even from 40-160mph. Whoever got the jump won.
From a dead stop the SLR has a massive advantage over the CGT.
On track the CGT will have an advantage, however you will need to be Hans Stuck (sp) to be able to outrun the SLR.
As far as looks, I prefer the SLR. Sure it may look like an SLK on steriods, but inmo the CGT looks like a Boxster on steriods.

if the SLR could use all its power off the line, it would be crazy fast for a stock car. Do you know that the SLR's TCU actually limits its power in 1st and 2nd gear?
