GT2 Exhaust Recommendations

Everything about the GT2 is impressive..........all except the exhaust note. The titanium construction and design are impressive, but is there a way to get more "noise" out of it or is the only way to go is an aftermarket exhaust system?
And if the later is the case, what brand system would GT2 owners recommend? TIA

AFAIK, only awe tuning has an exhaust replacement for the GT2, you can switch the stock cats with cargrahic hi flow ones tough.

All 997 TT headers bolts on GT2.

Here is a great kit that will add a substantial amount of power ( + 110 hp ) while opening up the acoustics of your stock system by means of Cargraphic High Flow cats.

Kuzi - Porsche says that no other exhaust system will be better than the one they fitted in the GT2, but I do understand you'd like some more noise out of the flat six Here's where he talks about the exhaust if you haven't seen it...

And for the most part I completely agree. But coming from Ferraris the first thing I noticed was the lack of acoustic ambience that puts the silly grin on the face. Too bad it can't be rectified with an easy solution without having to replace the whole system. That said, for the little seat time I've had in it, it is one impressive "beast".

Maybe Porsche put more sound deadening in the 997 GT2.

In my 996, I can't even use my cellphone at anything after 60mph, the stocker was loud enough that it makes you have to slow down to hear anything out of your phone.

I wonder how much sound deadening is in the back area under the rear window? It might be worth checking before changing the exhaust.
