Neither did Chris Harris in the DR review. And neither do I - if a 20 k Honda can have a multifunction wheel, why can't the GT3? That doesn't make it any less of a "driver's car," either.

I like the steering wheel better on the 997.1 GT3, other then that amazing!
Center locking wheels look sick!

I'm pretty sure the lack of a multifunction wheel is do to the fact that being porsche's factory track car, they didn't want to put buttons on the wheel that might get in the way during spirited driving. Oh, and I think the new wheel is ugly as sin, but I would get used to it, or just buy an alcantara version of the old one.

I figured that was probably the reason; I guess you could retrofit a multifunction wheel if it's already wired up for it.
