Chris, if you are taking sport buckets over CCB, then I would imagine/hope you're going to track it?

Red belts/stitch are a must. Gray/Black with silver wheels and standard brakes does not pop at all. Which is fine, of course. But red stitching/belts will make the car look special.
For my money and in your position (based on what you've thrown out regarding car purchases and dealing with the wifey, timeline, etc), I would get a 2007 Atlas GT3. I would think 98% of the looks, 98% of the performance, 65% (?) the price...

 

^A slate gray 7.1 converted to the equivalent of a European clubsport (CGT seats and half cage) could quite possibly be my perfect 911.

I'm getting close to the day that I will finally have a GT3 and the mods I listed above will be the first things I do.

 

Atlas is one of my favorite colors but it's near impossible to find on a GT3 - same w/Slate. Meteor is another favorite color (same as my C4S), but much more available. I've been hunting GT3s for a while now, and the 997.2 has the best of what I want, plus it's the last one w/the motorsport block. I doubt I'll track it since my wallet couldn't take it. The sport buckets are the same as in my C4S and I love them. By the time I move on the car, it'll likely be a CPO 2010 car. When my other nonsense is sorted (Thank you, IRS), I'll start looking in earnest.

 

Well then don't you just have it all sorted out. GL with it all (IRS & GT3).

Took these when I was at the dealer on Monday. I love this combo on the new RS, but if it were mine the graphics would have to go.
