What did they trade for?

 

I'd say the prototypes are at the bottom of a scrap heap by now and the concept would be in a museum, if thats what you mean.

 

Seinfeld has the prototype/ show car i think.

Someone on the 6 posted pics a long time ago of the 4 or 5 prototypes testing in some californian hills.
They have clear tailights if i remember right.

 

Nope. Just remember reading it somewhere.

 

As far as I know of the 6 or 7 built Pre-series cars which were used for press photos and testcars for media only 3 exist today. One is in the old Porsche museum in Zuffenhausen (black car, could also be one of the very last prototypes), one yellow car is still in Leipzig and a silver car is also owned by Porsche. Maybe they also have a red one, I don't know for sure.

The other prototypes and pre-series cars were disassembled and used for spare parts.


The 2001 Conceptcar is in the Porsche collection as well.
