The official reveal for the all-new W222 S-Class is not until next month, but our spies have managed to grab the best pics to date of what the new flagship will look like, dropping literally all of it's camouflage outside of Germany’s Nürburgring.
It is expected that there will be four sizes of the Mercedes saloon, with the regular and long wheelbase being joined by two extended wheelbase versions, due to strong demand from markets such as the Chinese, who are frantically buying up the extra-long European sedans.
The new S-class will have all new techno-goodies like "Magic Ride Control", which incorporates front facing cameras continuously analyzing the road conditions ahead, changing the damping rates accordingly, and fully automated suspension adjustments.
Another unique feature is the lack of light bulbs. The new big-benz will be the first feature all LED lighting, all the way down to the vanity mirror. The host off all new tech-goodies will be revealed shortly in an official press release due out next month.
Engine choices will be plentiful, including three hybrid choices with either 41 hp, 61 hp, or 109 hp electrical engines on top of the internal combustion engine. This shows that Mercedes is very aware of the demand for cleaner and more efficient vehicles, but of course some drivers are not willing to compromise of power.
For the AMG variants look for a V12 bi-turbo, cranking out a whopping 680 hp. The S65 AMG will reportedly have lighter carbon fiber items such as doors, boot and bonnet, this will be a real beast! The V6 will appear for a brief period, but in 2017 Mercedes will cease production and provide a more frugal replacement.

I'm not 100% sure if these have been touched removing any camo, but if not this looks great here:

Looks fantastic! I was just watching the Top Gear episode last night where they test an S65, the Rolls Royce Ghost, and what is supposed to be a Bentley Mulsanne... the Merc is by far my favorite of the big luxury sedans.

Agreed.. I can't even imagine what's in store for us when the S600/AMG versions are unveiled. Especially given all of the new tech that the 550 has been given. I imagine the extras will be quite interesting!
