It does work pretty well actually. The other day I was driving my wife's 10' E550 when I was changing lanes and the guy in front of me slowed down quickly. Although I was in no danger of hitting the car as I changed lanes, the car sensed that I was too close to the other car. The seatbelts tighten up very quickly and the brakes were deployed just as fast. I had never had that type of situation come up so I was little surprised. I don't drive her car that much but when I do it certainly impresses me with the level of constant sensors deployed every second.
