I'm not looking at it for a perfomance point of view. Whether it be a 300SL or 190SL - I think in today's terms the average Prius is quicker
I just love the looks of the car! I actually emailed a classic dealer locally to look out for one should one arise in the future. I didn't think he was going to have one immediately available. Just bought the Turbo S and the deposit on the Vantage - I'm in two minds about it
I'll try negotiate the price as the owner wants 110k for the car. Otherwise I'll wait until next year. The car is red on black, I'm looking for silver as shown in the above picture. That is perfection!

Nice hugo! You should post more pics of your cars! They are beauties and you hide them all away
I like the look of the older SL, just personal preference. My good friend has one exactly like yours - lovely car!

Saw a red over cream yesterday. Stopped to take a look. Gorgeous.
And again Hugo, that car freeking rules.
This is for sale here in NZ. They want 55k NZD. About 25-30k USD.

This is pretty much identical to the one i saw yesterday. Cept it had cream gutts.

mike s. the 190 sl is a great choice.. as would be the pagoda. i bought an 89 500sl last year.. i figured that i will keep it forever and given the build quality i probably can. i now the pagoda is also bullet proof and very practical, it can also be driven daily. while i love the look of the 190sl (and 300 sl) of course, you might start to get into more reliability issues, ie.e you may not be able to drive it everytime you want... which is very important for me. good luck with finding the right car.
