E Coupe in the wild

Wow. . .that looks completely unappealing. . .WTF is with the 1/5 window in the rear?
I'll reserve judgment 'till I see it in person, but I'm not the least bit optimistic about this one. . .

It's a sign from the local dealership. It wasn't registered yet so a dealer was out bragging with it. I saw it next to a grocery store and he was revving the engine for a buddy. Like 55 years old and thought he was so cool..

oh ok. i thought maybe they moved the 4matic badge or something.

The fact that I've been getting phone calls every week for the past month from my local Benz dealership, trying to persuade me to drive an E for a day doesn't bode well for them...
If you're trying to sell a €100k car to a 21 year old student with a net worth which is about sufficient for the purchase of 3 cappuccino's and a burger, how out of touch with reality/desperate are you?
Out of curiosity I dropped by a few local dealers a couple of weeks back, the Merc dealership was absolutely dead, zero customers, the Jaguar dealer next door wasn't doing any better. When I walked in to the Land Rover dealer the sales manager was actually just selling a Defender 130 to a customer whose neighbours had been complaining about his Discovery 3 and Range Rover taking up too much parking space. So in response he bought the 130 (which is freaking HUGE) haha.

The dealer floor was crammed with second hand Range Rover Sports and Disco 3's though. Business seemed a little better at BMW and Audi and the guys at Mini were running their asses off trying to cope with all the people in their tiny showroom.
So all in all I wouldn't be surprised to see MB get into some serious trouble before this crisis is over.

Yesterday I read that MB is actually going to bring back the CLK, probably as 'C Coupe'. This shiat is sooo confusing...
