We have a 2007 R350 as our family car (I have 2 small children, both in baby seats).

The R-Class is the best mix of perceived equity (3pointed star), space, fuel economy, and value out there IMO.

I'm 6'4" and my wife is about 5'10", there was no other car on the market that I could comfortably sit in front of baby seat while driving. We tried a bunch of SUV's too. The car has been rock solid reliable (we got it new and it has about 12k on the clock now)

Ours was a 27mo lease and its going to be up in June, and we'll be getting another one.

Get an R350 in black debadge, black interior, Full brabus bodykit with 21" wheels in anthratice it will look bad ass.

 

I absolutely despise the car. Haven't driven the AMG but I just can't accept it. Plus I think it's quite possibly the most ghastly car to come out in recent time. (IMO)

 

I mean it's a Benz minivan haha, I'd rather just get a Cayenne or something...

aesthetically, it's love or hate. you can't really cross-shop this with a cayenne.
