Best source/deal for a plug in Bluetooth device?

Best source/deal for a plug in Bluetooth device?
A buddy of mine just got an E500, and is looking for a plug in blue tooth device for the car. Similar to this one:

The dealership quoted him $500, and being the outstanding old soldier that he is; he probably said some foul things.
I'm not big on using a phone in the car, so I haven't kept up with who has what.

What year E500?
He may want to search the Benz forums for exact requirements.
If has has nothing but the prewire in the car, he will need a docking station and a Bluetooth puck. The pucks alone are 300ish, so it maybe that he needs both.
There are two other options he can look at:
Argos
Parrot
Both are more expensive that the $500 quoted, but they may offer to be cheaper in the long run if your soldier changes phones often compared to autos.
