X-5 Caught Fire.

I saw this at the service center today. Apparently something shorted out and started a fire. The guy left the car in the rain with a window down, and the water caused a short in the Mirror switch, and that started the fire. They offered him a new X5, he said no, they offered him an M5 he said no, and they offered him a 760IL and he said no. All were offered at the price he was currently paying for the X5. Apparently he wanted a bunch of cash as well. I would have taken an M5. Took these with my iPhone.

Damn that's crazy... I would've taken either the M5 or the 760, probably the 760.

Sounds like he's just another crazy lawsuit happy american.

Things happen. It's not like it happens every day. I have seen tons of Ferrari's and Lambo's on fire, that wont deter me from purchasing one. Of all the new X5's sold about 3-4 have caught fire. I think getting one is a safe bet. I think he just wanted to sue and get some money.
