Alpina B6 GranCoupe Spotted At The Ring

Our trusty spies managed to snap the first shots of the up-coming BMW Alpina B6 GranCoupe. Based on the standard 6-series GranCoupe, the B6 packs a few extra horses and will be powered by the 4.4-litre V8 Biturbo delivering 540 hp.

For those craving the extra performance and exclusivity out of their BMW, but a prefer slightly more subtle package then BMW's M-arm produces, Alpina is your tuner of choice. We expect the car to debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show later this year.

 

Unpainted body parts and missing center caps aside, that's ugly. The factory car looks fantastic, this not only doesn't add anything to that -- it actually makes it worse. I think the spoiler might be the worst part; it doesn't go with the lines of the car AT ALL. The M6 is a much better looking car than this, and so are the standard 640/650.

I'm not sure that I understand this car. Alpina could use an updated wheel design. BMW seems to be on a course to have the most possible car lines that all look the same. I have had a half dozen and among all of my cars they have been the least remarkable.
