Must be helpful to work in a shop and having access to parts, labor and knowledge.

Congrats on the car! I also have a 335. You really lucked out with what you got. I am interested in how you plan to have the wider quarter panels. I would definitely like to be able to fit a wider rear tire on mine. I have 275s on now, but I would love to go to something like a 295 or 305.

To the post above, if it has those mods, it should definitely be faster than a stock M3.

Definitely helpful when working for a shop that specializes in them.

I don't know for a fact if its faster than a stock M3. Down low it definitely is, I'm not sure if the top end of the M3 would come back around. But I'm pretty confident I could walk one.

We had a E92 M3 with a flash that car really surprised me. The gearing is just right in that car makes it feel like it has a lot more torque than what it is rated for. We never lined the two cars up though.

I'm basically gonna have the body shop we use cut the 335 quarters out and weld in the M3 ones. Lots of guys on E90 over in Cali are doing it. I'm currently running a 275 as well slightly stretched.

Looking at your pics in your sig cotmfk, are you in Virginia or Maryland? If so are you planning on attending Bimmerfest in August? I will be going.

I am in VA. I will definitely be at Bimmerfest East. I was there last year. There was so much cool stuff. If you have the welded quarters done by then, I'd like to check it out. I wouldn't mind the drive to TN to get it done.

FWIW, I have 406whp/450wtq and can take a stock M3 down low or up top (and have over 100k miles!). So, with the power numbers you are stating, you should have no problem.

If you have easy access to a dyno, you should dyno and then do a carbon clean and then dyno again. I am getting ready to do that this fall and am curious as to the difference in numbers. People in the Audi community are reporting big differences after a carbon clean on the direct injection motors.

We actually just setup our walnut blaster last week. We'll be testing it out on my car hopefully this week and work on setting up group deal for to get it done.

My plan is to get it dynoed in the coming months as well at a local shop to see what it truly puts down. Hopefully it'll be in the range of the Burger car.

335s motors require carbon clean? like Audi v8 motors?
