Spotted getting ready for laps at the Ring
!

Our Teamspeed spies stationed at the Nürburgring have spotted one hot new hatch from Mini, The JCW GP, based on the updated Cooper S. The key indicators that confirm to us this is the GP version are the new front bumper/spoiler, huge rear diffuser clearly derived from the Challenge race car, and of course the massive spoiler at the back end of the roof. We will also spot unique 18″ wheels and an aggressive lowered stance thanks to the standard JCW suspension.

Power is expected to be at least 220 horsepower and together with less weight this could be the pocket rocket all Mini fans have been waiting for.

Officially the car will make it’s final production debut at the Paris Motor Show this September.

they slowly become a menace to societey...fast,loud,agile and in the budget of most young guns with good jobs
at least here they always seem to be running at 8/10th pedal to the medal

You AND your Dad are gonna buy one? How much are you contributing?

This car is gonna be a hoot. Just wish they would make these damn things RWD.

Dunno, hope not too much! there was a project car in germany from a well known developper that was able to switch between rwd and fwd...would be great if it got on the market

I miss my R56S. Definitely going to consider this one. Mini's are perfect for zipping around crazy LA traffic. I was able to get around the city and get my errands done with no time delays during the LA Marathon on a Sunday!

Hmm... that's not the Ring... it's a roundabout.

Anyway, the Mini is a cool car, looks like it will get even cooler!
