Arrow Spied: 2014 BMW X5 [VIDEO]

Spied: The New 2014 BMW X5
Spotted wrapped up in full camo tape but this "volvo-esq" boxy style has us rather worried!

The all-new BMW X5 has just hit the streets in Germany for testing and Teamspeed has the first pics of BMW's latest Sport Activity Vehicle. Codenamed "F15," the 2014 BMW X5 will be riding on a heavily revised version of the 5-series chassis. As is the case with most new SUVs/CUVs, BMW will hope to shed significant weight from this latest X5 to improve fuel economy.

While it's still quite early in the development of this new X5, the typical range of 6-cylinder, and 8-cylinder, gas a diesel motors will be available. While the twin-turbo V6 seems almost certain to return, we're not yet sure if BMW can pull enough weight out of the new X5 to allow use of their new, turbo-charged four-cylinder.

Active Hybrid and X5M models are also certain to return to the X5 lineup.

Watch for the new X5 to start production in the fourth quarter of 2013 at BMW's Spartanburg, SC plant.

I've always hated the X5 interior. It's as pleasant as sitting in a dumpster in a leather seat. Hopefully the new one is good enough.
2014MY probably, which would mean 2013MY for the "normal" numbering. 2012 release year? Maybe...
I don't get how "While the twin-turbo V6 seems almost certain to return" a V6 returned to BMW... maybe you should get your facts straight. It's an Inline 6.

Everything about the car looks good, except for the tail lights, which seem to pertrude too much. Is it just me, or do those back lights extend like 2-3 out of the car?

The taillights are a part of the camouflage.. it's a BMW not a Ferrari to have those taillights
