Post The New Alpina B5 Touring

These are the first pictures of Alpina’s new B5 Touring, which is making its world debut at next week’s Geneva motor show.
The BMW-based manufacturer’s latest offering gets the same 4.4-litre, twin-turbocharged powerplant and eight-speed ZF-developed transmission as its hot 5-series saloon.

Its 500bhp and 516lb ft takes the F11 wagon from 0-62mph in 4.8sec, and on to a top speed of 188mph. Alpina will offer the car with an extensive range of customisation options, including the option of a limited slip differential.

But the B5 Touring is likely to be the hottest 5-series wagon available for the foreseeable future; BMW’s M division has already stated that there will be no estate version of the next-gen M5 that’s due in the autumn.

If I could order it with a stickshift like the 550i, that would be the perfect DD, imo.

Alpinas are like RS Audis - not a duff one in the bunch. I'd love to have that new Alpina 5 series... touring or sedan.

I know Alpina does their wheels and its kind of their identifying mark - I just wish they would introduce another look as well. I don't know that its "aging" well. Almost looks a bit 80's?

I can't quote, but I disagree Mattention. I'm looking a set in that versatile top my e92 now. Simply put, they're perfect.
