Nice to see they added LED taillights to the coupes.

Hope my mother trades in her E93 330I for the new E93 335i, I like that new front...

Hmm.... A single turbo 335i.... I hope it still gives off ridiculous performance like the present one does. It would be a shame to see this pocket rocket die off.

In 2011 the 135i, 335i, 535i, 535 GT, and 740i/Li will get BMW's new N55 powerplant (twin-scroll single turbo made by BorgWarner). Racing Dynamics has already created a tuning option good for about a 100hp and 80 lb-ft bump! No one is really sure why BMW has gone this route. Several rumors though; cost, efficiency, HPFP issue in the N54.

The N55 powerplant uses the the innovation of twin-scroll technology and the integration of VALVETRONIC throttle-less intake technology.

This new engine promises even better throttle response and even more fuel efficiency. Thanks to VALVETRONIC, VANOS, and the twin-scroll turbocharger housing, peak torque is reached 100rpm earlier than with the previous engine, and engine boost response is improved across the entire engine speed range.

Twin-Scroll Turbo System Design Explained

I love how the single turbo engine will read "TwinPower Turbo" on the engine cover.

Audi A5 > this thing.
