Post Why BMW Chose DCT for the Z4 35is

Some interesting info regarding BMW's decision to only offer the DCT trasmission in this car. I find it hard to believe BMW can't make/source a 6MT that works well with the N54 - even with increased power.

This was pointed out by Mark over at Zpost.
With the release of the Z4 35is BMW will be offering only one transmission; the DCT. Our understanding is that the manual 6 speed Z4 (specifically the clutch) can’t handle the torque that comes with the engine upgrade in the car.

I saw a black new Z the other day, I think if anything its MORE masculine looking then the former.
