Yeesh, this is not a good looking car

WTF is wrong with BMW?! I'm not even sure what to say about this. Everyone knows it's ugly and it's hard to believe it could be more practical than a 5-series wagon. The X5 rides nicely so I'm not sure how BMW could justify building a softer car to fill those needs. There really isn't a market for this car but maybe the BMW marketing department knows something we don't?

there is a market for that...
elderly people appreciate the design because it`s roomy and easy to get in and out of the car.
The same for families...it`s not an SUV (of which some think that it is not socially compatible) but still offers the advantages of a large car with a high seating position and the feeling of safety due to the great size of the chassis

Great.

yes..that`s partly true
many previous Z4 owners said the same about the new Z4...
but somehow money needs to come in
and as long as the M division and the original BMW sports cars can be financed through newly invented BMWs it`s ok.
It`s just the sames as it was/is with the 911 and the Cayenne/Panamera

Except that we're talking about the M Division that axed the E92 CSL, but went ahead with not one but two 2.3 ton SUVs.

update on my view on this car
the more colours and variatios I see of this car in real life,eg. in all kind of different situations
the more I accept it and eventually at some point even like it a tiny little bit (for the fact that it is not that bad and might sell)
never thought I`d say this about that car
people seem to sit very comfortable in the car and it looks quite agile when cornering/accelerating
I`d never buy that thing though

I actually really like the idea. I get my 5 series and the ability to actually carry big stuff. I don't even mind the rear end. But if it came down to it I would go after the 5 wagon its more practical and less unique.
