the back view is lacking, but im loving the side and front. It seems from the picture that they cut the overhanging sides and back, and gave it a sportier look. and that engine...FTW

I take delivery on my 750i on the 11th. I will post up some pictures. Of course it has the wimpy twin turbo V8 not the V12. LOL

I'd rather pick up a preowned Flying Spur for that kind of money, if I was after a an exec/chauffeured type deal. otherwise I'd have to get the Panamera Turbo. I agree with stuka in that I think the E38 was the best looking 7er that they have built. I have always loved the way the later ones with the Sport pack/M parallel spoke wheels looked.

E38/9's were/are the best looking sedans in the last 20 years.
Fact.

Before we picked up the Audi S4 Avant manual, we thought long and hard about getting an Imola/Caramel E38 sport and put in an OEM 6 speed.

Then I got lazy...

I'd neg rep you, but I'm too nice.

Stuka - I would have love to seen that completed as a project. I remember reading a little while ago about a guy putting an M5 drivetrain in place of his blown 740i

This was very close to my car search. I was trying to decide between a S6 Avant and the E38. In the end I had to go with the E38 because of how it drives and I have always loved the looks. I would love a 6 speed in mine but I can't justify it because the car is perfect right now. If it had a tranny problem I would certainly look into the swap. I love my sporty shorty.
