Drove The Z4 35i Yesterday.
What an awesome car.
Sounds absolutely tits. Crackles and pops on the upshifts ( DCT box ).
It has the roadster segment nailed. If you buy anything else, your a fool. I would take it over a Boxster ( 20k cheaper as well ).
Interior is stunning ( car I drove had white leather with dark wood trim ). I had alot more room ( 6ft 2 ) than the previous generation which I drive with my knees around my ears.
It is alot less homosexual than the previous one, a dude could easily drive it, the amount of comments and thumbs up i got was crazy. As i was driving down the road to drop the M3 in for service, i saw the Z4 sitting on the side of the road and couldnt help but look at it, wicked looking thing.
Any specific questions, ask away.

There's no denying the new Z4 is leaps ahead of its predecessor. Can't wait to take this out for a spin.
In your own words could you please elaborate on Dynamic Drive Control (NORMAL, SPORT and SPORT+ modes) How does it effect the shift patterns, steering, and handling? Likes, dislikes...Pro, cons...
Quote from DR:
I push the little Sport button beside the gearlever forward twice to select Sport+ and the electric power steering switches from light but nicely communicative to heavy and perhaps a shade stodgy,
The body control - pretty hopeless in Normal, acceptable in Sport and Sport+ - is on a par with the SLK, but a world away from a Boxster, and to be honest I think the SLK is more nimble and feels lighter, keener to work with you at high speeds.

To be honest, as soon as I got in, I put it into Sport + and turned traction off as per the request of the salesman!
Shifts are lightning quick in Sport+, blips on the downshift are nice, the steering does become heavy, but I much prefer that ( same with the M3 ).
Definitely can't comment to the degree of DR as I never took it onto B-Roads.
I don't class the Boxster as a roadster. Roadster to me is front-engine.

What are the prices?
they are almost the same price here (Z4 a little higher than the Boxter)... a base Z4 is about USD50k which I fine high
