Post X1 spied doing doing close-ups for some sort of video shoot in Germany.

The BMW X1 has been spied doing doing close-ups for some sort of video shoot in Germany.

While the little guy could even be called cute in this photo, and the darker color does it tremendous favors, it's still a strangely proportioned little beast – like one of those cuddly-yet-awkward babies you see on Animal Planet. Maybe it looks best on the trot, but the mass of the rear still visually dwarfs that of the front, and the mirrors jut out like the ears on a hippo. When the video does run, it will be joined by the tagline, "This is your world." The question is: is this your BMW? We'll see the official version later this year in Frankfurt.

BMW is killing me with their new models... I've been as die-hard of a bmw fan as has ever been and have been nothing but supportive through what some have seen as a decline in visual appeal.

The new 5er based touring turd and this and M versions of the Xers might throw me out of the camp... are these Bangle designs or have these been designed since he left?

I respect them for being this progressive - but I'm not entirely behind the new lines. Think Audi are doing a better job at proving themselves as a modern european car designer but retaining the style...

Yikes! Wrong direction for BMW.

On the plus side, BMW still offers manual transmissions in nearly all of their vehicles so they's still better than MB.

BMW is not alone. Audi Q3 is also coming down the pipe. And MB....
