it must mean that the car is wired for it, but you still need the bluetooth dongle to activate it. i'm not sure how it exactly applies to bmw's as my e60 m5 had the bluetooth ready to go in the idrive, but in my e63 mercedes, i had to buy a "puck" from the dealer and plug it into a slot in the armrest. that piece was about $400.

Thanks Mark!

Odd!

It's listed as an option, but why would someone order a car with wiring for something but not the dongle thingy that allows you to actually use it . . .

Sort of like asking to have wiring done for a missile launcher on your roof. "Oh excellent sir, you're gonna need missiles, too!". "Uh, Nah. I don't need those.".

Ask your local dealer?
They should know what it is.

It means your phone will work over the stereo. Trust me its an option that you will quickly not be able to live without.

i know what you mean. this reminds me of that commercial where this guy goes scuba diving and finds out there's no air in his tank. the instructor tells him, "oh, that's extra." LOL

i'll have to go and look at the sticker for both of my cars. i don't think it was an option with mercedes. it comes standard with most of their cars, you just have to buy the puck from the stealer.

Bluetooth enabled is something the car you should have kept cannot do
