Call me crazy but I think this design of the new Z4 is a home run...

Not really fond of the looks yet. And I don't know which engine would be in the M-version as I read in CAR Magazine that the current V8 is to large for the engine bay to fit. Also, I'm bummed that they'll replace the roadster and coupé with a folding hardtop.

Bronto, well in that case they just will have to stuff that good ol S54(e46 M3) engine in this Z4M also (as they did in the last)

That pshop is f^cking golden!
Nicke: that engine is perhaps the best one in the world, but it's a bit old now and I guess they need to meet new standards in efficiency. I do hope they'll make an M out of that thing though.

+1 If I remember correctly the S54 doesn't meet the Euro V emission standards so that's not an option. This car equipped with the S65 would be a hoot though.

Just looked up some statistics of the E89; damn this car is heavy. The fellas at M GmbH should definitely focus on shedding some of that weight. If they can get the curbweight under 3k lbs it would be a much more 'pure' roadster.
There's no logical reason for not doing that, BMW already has the 3 and 6 series 'verts which can serve as the 'GT' droptops.
