I just read in the latest CAR that the new model will replace the coupé and roadster with one folding metal roof. I think that the coupé was a very good looking car but that has now changed totaly. It's also gonna be available with two big petrol engines only so prices will be quite high. For a final blow, there won't be an M-version as the v8 is too big for the engine compartment in the Z4.

I really had high hopes for this new model but they sank way low and hit bottom after I read that article. Imagine the styling and interior of a Z8, the power of an M3 and the sporting heritage only a two seater coupé can have. Stupid BMW...

I really like the styling but the lack of a coupe in the lineup is a big disappointment. Maybe instead of the M3 engine, BMW will put the 335 engine in this? A little bit more boost and it won't need a V8!
