Hartge gives the BMW 135i 350-hp, top speed of 174 mph
#1
The first time Hartge got its hands on the BMW 1-Series, it didn’t bother giving it any performance upgrade. Well, now Hartge is back with the 135 Coupe and it’s a whole different story this time around. With the help of some ECU calibration Hartge extracted an additional 44 horses from the 3.0L inline 6-cylinder twin-turbo charged engine for a total of 350-hp with a maximum torque of 354 lb-ft. That allows for the 0 to 62 mph time to come half a second faster than the 5.3 of the standard 135i with a top speed of 174 mph. Hartge says that the 135i still maintains its 26 mpg fuel-economy.
Visually, Hartge added a new front lip spoiler, roof spoiler, lip spoiler for the boot, a new rear diffused and side sills. The Hartge BMW 135i rides on a set of CLASSIC 2 20-inch aluminum wheels fitted with Pirelli PZero Nero tires. Oh you’ll also make a lot of noise when you speed by thanks to a set of new dual round pipes of stainless steel rear silencers fitted into the right and left diffuser.
