700hp Lightning GT Electric Car Confirmed for British Motor Show The 700bhp Lightning Gt is powered by four 120kw power Permanent Magnet brushless motors, which can be harged in as little as 10 minutes. The great advantages of the electric technology can be seen in the acceleration figures with a 0-60mph of 4 seconds, achievable because the electric motor is able to pass the full thrust of the torque to the wheels from standstill giving the model a great advantage over gas powered sportcars which require the vehicle to build up the rev count first.
