LOL.
Audi's are the least reliable cars on the road. I do not know a single Audi owner that would ever consider their car to be reliable.
A BMW or a Porsche? Sure, very solid and reliable German cars.

In my experience, Audis are very reliable, my family has pretty much only had Audis and never had problems bigger than once when the nav system didn't work and that was just because of the satellite, so idk.
Maybe you are thinking of the older Audis from the nineties and eighties?
Ive heard my fair share of stories about people having problems with BOTH BMWs and Porshces, not often, but more often than Audis. I'm leaning towards thinking that you might be joking and I am making a fool of myself for over-defending my point

Assuming a daily driver needs to be useful for someone who gets snow in Chicago, count out 2 seat, soft-top convertibles, and RWD cars.
Considering the ridiculous used car prices today, I came the the conclusion that a new Impreza was the best solution for me.
I could still get a manual, the chassis is far more talented than any other 150 hp FWD/AWD car I've ever driven recently, it's quiet, rides well, has tons of room, has an awesome AWD system, and should last at least 10 years. I've been averaging 28 - 30 mpg, so it sips fuel (87, not premium.)
The GTi stands out as a great choice, but for me it was pointless - pay more for maintenance and gas for a 'fun' car that I only need to drive when it's bad out, or get a more economical and spacious car and drive the Lotus when I want to have more fun.

I could think of many cars that are considerably worse: Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lotus, Land Rover, Jaguar, Ferrari, etc.

)Of course low production italian cars will be less reliable. But that doesn't make Audi the pinnacle of reliability. Every I know who has owned one dumped it because it was such a massive headache. My boss has a new A6, it's been to the dealer about 10 times in 8,000 miles for stupid electronic crap breaking all the time.
I love the B5 S4, because it's badass. Would I own one? Probably not. I was actually talked out of one a few months back and then proceeded to watch two of my Audi friends blow out their S4 turbos very soon after.
