Bubba Watson Gets the Green Jacket and General Lee #1

The 2012 Masters Champion Lives up to his nick-name

Golf's newest major winner, Bubba Watson, emerged victorious in The Masters at Augusta yesterday in a dramatic play-off with South African Louis Oosthuizen. Watson is a fan favorite, not only for his skills on the course, but for his larger-than-life personality off it.

If you grew up in the 80's, anytime you hear a name like "Bubba" you most likely think back to the days of those good ole boys yelling "yeeeeh-haw" as they flew in the air in one of the most iconic TV or film cars ever, so it's rather fitting Golf's latest champ would own the #1 1969 Dodge Charger aka "The General Lee", made famous in the hit TV show The Dukes of Hazzard.

Bubba bought Bo and Lukes ride after striking a deal with his wife that he could buy a car after winning his first PGA event. The General Lee was auctioned off at Barret-Jackson for $110,000.

I enjoyed it. Phil was done as soon as he chose not to go back to the tee after his terrible shot. He wasted at least one stroke in not doing so, and it probably haunted him for the rest of the round. Without that triple bogey, who knows what would have happened. It certainly gave the guys ahead of him more breathing room for the rest of the round.

Bubba was on Fehertys show on golf channel recently. They took a ride in the general lee. Awesome He also talks about his limited edition RM watch, $525,000. The one he wore through the whole tourney. I guess if I had my own watch I might too.

It's good to be Bubba!

As a southpaw myself, I have always pulled for Lefty to win golf tournaments, but if not Lefty, then Bubba, another left-hander, is a good sub.
