However if you drive an A6 and an A7 back to back, you will realize they are the same car with a different body shape. Even the interior is pretty much the same. This car is not in the same league as an XJ, S-Class or A8.

If you want the mid-size car, I think the CLS63 and the BMW M5 are much better than the S7. If you want full-size, it's XJ SuperSport or wait for the S8.
Drove the CLS, great engine. Have you had the opportunity to drive the M5 or the S7 yet? I'm looking forward to it.

I haven't driven those yet. I'm driving a loaner panamera while the RS is at the dealership. The interior is nice but every time I get out, I stand the rear end. The had a red panamera GTS with black wheels that actually didn't look to bad and sounded even better

I'm with you. The GTS interior and sound is absolutely amazing. But once you get to the rear end...

I drove the M5 at the M5 experience in Seville. I love that car. Will swap my 2012 Dinan 550i for one of those once I can get one for close to invoice. Right now my dealer wants MSRP.

I was asking a german friend who just moved to the states a few years ago, "what do germans prefer between bmw and mb?"
He said, "neither, they always prefer audi".
For me it would be between one of the german sedans. It would be a hard choice but probably S8 or M5.
The jag might be a nice drive also but think that a 4 door sedan also has to have the most modern infotainment and luxury amenities. The jag seriously fails in this department. Audi and bmw are tops, and mb is not far behind. Just go to the dealer and compare.

I would not disregard the AMG Mercs. They have the looks, the space , craftsmanship and the sound.
