Sorry this happened to you.

This is covered by your insurance at all? Hopefully your deductible is not more than the cost of the mirror (mechanically tilts?).

Even though I live in what is labeled as a 'premium luxury' complex, and my car is parked in a covered community garage with gates, we are still subjected to vandalism. Not too long ago my parking spot neighbor had his window knocked out by a thief we think.

Didn't go through insurance, I have a high deductible and even if I had a low one I wouldn't have gone through it, for me insurance is a worst case scenario tool.

I picked up a used mirror and the brushed caps for $230 shipped so I'm happy.....wanted to do the caps since I got the car just hadn't planned to do so under these circumstances.

I bet we could fill a 100+ answers thread with imaginations what we would do with someone who did this to our car and we caught him in the act...

My condolences...that sucks

I'm just pissed that I heard them but passed it off as normal drunks on a Sat night. Probably a good idea I didn't go out b/c if I looked out the window and say that I would have grabbed my gun (unloaded) and probably got myself into a lot of trouble. Or I would have grabbed my pick handle out back and been tempted to break knees.

It's frustrating that we have been dealing with a hit and run on our other car where the other person is lying through her teeth but her insurance company is siding w/ her.

Oh well just a bad year for our cars....we will survive.
