Ford has released the first pictures of the 2013 Mondeo, ahead of its launch early next year.
Looking virtually identical to the Fusion, the Mondeo is distinguished by
a monotone rear fascia and restyled headlights with LED turn signals.
The similarities might put some people off, but they aren't surprising considering both vehicles
were developed under the "One Ford" strategy which attempts to increase commonality between European and U.S. models.
There's no word on specifications, but the redesigned Mondeo will
likely offer a 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine with 179 hp (133 kW / 181 PS)
and 172 lb-ft (233 Nm) of torque.
We can also expect a 2.0-liter EcoBoost that develops 237 hp (177 kW / 240 PS)
and 250 lb-ft (339 Nm) of torque.
