Do I need to drive a 458 to know that you can't get a proper transmission or a GTR to know that it has more nanny gizmos that a Honda Odyssey? I didn't think so.

How do you know that we haven't driven them? Pretty stupid statement and FYI I've driven several of the cars in that comparison.

I drove a C6 Z06 a few months ago. I was expecting it to rip my face off.....but it didn't. I was kind of disappointed, but even still I'd take the GT3 rs anyday. Corvettes don't get me excited, and I hate the interiors.

Porsche Troll
That's ironic. The 997.2 GT3RS does nothing for me. The 997.1 on the other hand is in my top five favorite cars.

Interesting all the non Manuel crap.
Come on guys it's 2011
Manufactures are making cars faster than they should be and customers want more. I don't care who you are No one can shift fast enough to come remotely close to these new machines.
I've stated it dozens of times on here and still dont get the rub. Fast times on a track aren't a reward from a quick shift tho it comes into play. It's about balls and the ability to brake the least and understand the track you are driving. Taking shifting out of a lap at Laguna for example is only taking 5% of the skill out of the car. There is still 95% left to master.
When you shift faster/accelerate faster you hit corners and brake points that much faster making each lap more interesting to say the least. You don't have to do anything to accelerate thru the gears in typical race cars. Sequential setups have been in these cars for years. Are the rsr's and top corvettes astons Audi's Ferrari's all shit because they don't have a proper gear box? He'll no they are more fun than should be legal.
If you need to shift I'd argue the only true "drivers" cars are the 18 wheelers driving down the road. I've got 15 of them with 15-18 gears each. These POS 6 speeds are nuttin!

^ Mark, if you re-read my post, I acknowledged that the tech makes the cars faster. Absolutely, it's undeniable. But I personally would rather shift myself. Makes me feel more attached to the car. Just my opinion.
Also, we're talking street cars here. Not race cars.
