What to do about the decreasing reliability of radar detectors?

With the advent of Infinity using laser radar for some of it's cruise controls, and every new audi with lane assist firing K bands like machine guns the number of false positives is getting freaking ridiculous.

Is anyone having success reducing the amount of these false positives - are any of the companies taking steps to try and combat this for future revisions of hardware or firmware updates? Can anything even be done?

Or are we living in a world that will essentially make radar detectors worthless in another decade?

You would think that the radar companies would be up in arms over this but i've seen any real discussion of the issue so I thought I would ask all of our resident enthusiasts if they know something I don't.

Most cops around here use Ka band so I haven't noticed any problems yet. Interesting topic though.

That's a good point. I'm subscribing just to see if you get any good answers on this.

Here too. In fact I turned off K and X band on my V1. So when it screams, I stomp on the brakes.

I gave up a long time ago.

Burned by laser with my V1 on too many times.

I can't turn off K or even X around here because there is actually a town near me that still has X band radar and many still use K.
The Audi's really annoy me!! I didn't know what was causing it the first few times, but eventually put it together that it was an Audi causing it. I wonder if Valentine will ever be able to differentiate between an Audi and a K gun or if their signatures are identical.
