I know the gentleman who owns that particular Delorean. It has some aftermarket cams and a Flowmaster exhaust kit. Sounds great! Also the top speed for a Delorean is 120mph (140mph with a twin turbo kit). The speedominter on the BTTF Delorean was altered to 95mph.

I'd love to hear that, sounds awesome! How do the gearboxes hold up in these cars? I've always been weary of the drivetrain.

Diskreet:
Here's a link to an earlier thread I posted with that same car running after it's upgrades.

The transmissions in Deloreans are pretty reliable, provided they haven't been sitting for years and years. The automatic gearboxes typically need a govenor change once and fluid changes. The manual gearboxes(best suited for performance upgrades)typically need cylinder changes and clutch changes due to neglect and age. A lot of people bought these cars as a passing fancy back in the 80's and early 90's. When problems arose most mechanics wouldn't deal with them or do fixes on fixes and do more damage than good. Now with DMC back in business and a TON of private Delorean parts vendors, you can have a daily driver Delorean with hardly any issues.

Look at that speedometer, it doesn't even go to 88mph. My apologies to any DeLorean fans. It just strikes me as funny.
