The series 1 Lotus Esprit is wonderful to look at. I will use the interior pics you sent me as a nice originality reference as I restore the interior of my series 2 car.
New Esprit looks ok from the rear but a bit bulbous from the front 3/4 view...I was expecting something a bit more outrageous considering what the original Esprit achieved way back when.
The # 82 Lotus is Jim Clarks car that won Indy in 1965. Dario Franchitti drove the car during a demo last year at Indianopolis....it was the first time the car had been run at Indy since its victory and has rarely ventured out. That was a wonderful tribute to Jim Clark since Dario has such deep respect for his achievements both as a racer and a gentleman off the track.
