Looks great for what is it. Would definitely be a great car for a wife/daughter, and 60+ mpg is nothing to laugh at either. Props to VW for making a great looking car that is sure to stick around for a while.

I think maybe the reason this one looks so good is because they actually had the US money to do it. It looked like with the old New Beetle (?), which is now old, but it was still new, VW designed the front half of the car, ran out of funds, and just said they'd use the front end for the rear part of the car, we'll just put some carpet in the engine bay, and change the color of the headlight lenses.

This new version really looks great!

My sister has a Gecko Green '06 Beetle with the diesel engine, and it is very pleasant car. I think Beetles are among the best cars for women, young and old.

Wow it looks major improved, I like the exterior roof line. Sort of like Scirocco meets Beetle.

VW did a great job with this one and somehow managed to make it more "manly".
