Yes, of course I would but this was a discussion on car financing. In fact, I'd rather ride a pair of rollerblades for 10 years than use public transportation for one second. And I say that in the most public transport-infested place on earth.

That's not the reason you really lease Raul; but if it worked for you that's all that matters.

I look at it this way. I don't have 100K to fork over all at once. The financing on a lease is cheaper than a purchase. End of story.

It's my car as long as I'm the one with my ass in the driver's seat. In 3 years, I get a shiny new one.

I'm sorry, what? I am having trouble focusing when you say things like that.

You're having trouble coming up with an argument because what I said makes perfect sense!

I typically pay cash for my cars; however, I jumped at the opportunity to finance my Wife's car over 60 months at 0% interest through GMAC.

Why would anybody pay cash in that situation? It's free money--money that could be put to work for you.

I also understand why some people lease. In some cases, with the lease payment being fully written off through a business, it greatly reduces the cost of having a vehicle.

If by "perfect sense" you mean "I don't have 100K so I drive someone elses ugly car instead", then yes.

SoCal is an unknown quantity at this point
The only reason I finance my cars is because I get 2.99% through PenFed. That is almost free money.

I finance all my cars with a minimum rate of 18%. I'm doing my part to bail these poor banks out. I only ended up paying 130,000$ for my92 metro. After 216 payments, She's all mine!
