Alfa Romeo has launched an interactive blog to drum up interest in its soon-to-launch mini car, the Mi.To.

The highly anticipated Mi.To is Alfa's first new car since the 8C Competizione. Its curvaceous looks, and rumblings that the car could reach the U.S. market, have generated considerable buzz. The website has received more than 3,500 posts.

The website is run by Alfa but offers visitors considerable information about the car and a chance to spend a day at the automaker's design and test centers.

The Mi.To will offer a choice of four turbocharged engines, ranging from 90 to 155 horsepower. It's expected to go on sale in Europe in June and is being positioned as a competitor to Mini.

There's no word yet on if the Mi.To will make it to the United States. Fiat, Alfa's parent company, is reportedly looking for a partner to sell cars in the U.S. market. The Mi.To was designed to meet U.S. safety and emissions standards. Fiat last sold cars in the United States in 1995.
