Help! WTB: looking for a truck as a DD

Dear TSers, I am in the market for a DD. I am looking for a truck that's comfy enough for daily driving with a good amount of power or mod potential. Thank you all for stopping by

Chevy Silverado, plenty of aftermarket goodies to add to it but with the independent front suspension much more comfy as a DD than the solid axle Fords.

Been in the market for one myself. I daily an Avalanche. The Avalanche and Ram 1500 have a coil spring rear end rather than leaf springs, which means the ride is much creamier and doesn't skuttle around on bumps. The Avalanche also has the advantage of being a one-box SUV (those "flying buttresses" are actually chassis members) so it rides even smoother still and doesn't have that twisting cowl shake. The disadvantage is the bed is narrow.

I love my Avalanche and will replace it with either another Av or a Ram 1500 TRX4 soon.

I'd buy either diesel, or the 5.7 V8 from Toyota. The 1500 platform trucks are yet to be available with a diesel option, although manufacturers are making noise about this happening.

My first choice would be a GMC Sierra Denali HD with the 6.6l Duramax, followed by the Ford F250 Powerstroke.

As a DD? You crazy mang! Those 2500s will rattle your teeth out unloaded!
