Anyone know about the C70? Looking for a convertible

My woman is looking for a new car, she wanted a convertible (<5000$). I suggested a Miata or maybe a Volvo C70. Looking at a 99 C70 cab tonight, what should I look for? Do they have any issues I should look for?

Any other cars I should consider?

I think it's probably a safer bet...she does want an auto though, and she couldn't care less about handling, but does do long trips.

The C70 might be comfier for long drives but the Miata is likely to be more reliable, imo.

She just ruled it out, said it's too small. Open to other suggestions.

Auto / cab / under 5k / reliable chick car / good on long trips as she goes back and forth to Vegas every other week
