NBC bringing Top Gear to the US with a new cast

NBC has reportedly ordered a pilot for an all American version of our favorite TV show, Top Gear. Honestly as awesome as that sounds, we’re really disappointed that the show will consist of a completely new cast. However the producers are saying that it will still feature “the irreverent spirit of Top Gear.”
Networks like NBC has been looking for non-scripted content since the Writers Guild of America is still on strike. The move has helped bring shows on like The Biggest Loser 5, Celebrity Apprentice, and now the U.S. version of Top Gear.

I'm torn on this one, on one side, clarkson and crew is what makes the show what it is, but on the other side, I see how the office's US adaptation made so much more sense for American viewers.
Time will tell. But having a program with commercials every 3 minutes will suck

This will be interesting to see how it turns out. I agree the cast makes the show what it is. I want to see how they translate the some of the segments on our speed limited roads, without legal trouble. I keep thinking of Clarkson in a Bugatti Veyron racing Hammond in a plane across Europe.
