I think the whole "breaking up the family with children involved" usually gets mothers mad for some reason...

You really think that she did not know of his sexual appetite? And how he satisfied it? I call BS. There is no reason to beat him/car with a golf club for breaking up the family. But a little burning/ discharge would be enough to lose controll and act like she did. IMO

I agree that she was acting irrationally, but I definitely wouldn't say it's uncommon. Also, just because it's common doesn't mean it's right. That being said, most people will sympathize with Elin, as she is still portrayed as the victim in this situation.
