Not yet, but it's on my list! I'm really hoping Pontiac releases the manual trans version soon (if they haven't already?).

Is that one yours, Sean?

No. I really want one though. It reminds me of my old E39 M5. You can get a manual GXP now, not sure about "lesser" versions.

All the more reason to get the big V8

I saw a 600+ HP version of the G8 GXP at SEMA that was running the LS9 in from the Vette ZR1 and it was incredible. The G8 seems like such an easy platform/engine to play around with, not that it would even need any mods to be fun to drive. It's a heavy beast, no doubt about it, but as far as sports sedans go, you can't beat the G8 GXP for the money!

The GXP is one of the very few American cars I would want to own. For its price, you can't find a better car.

Plus, it genuinely looks good. Caught my eye a couple times ...

Even the basic V8 pushes 360hp ... not too shabby for a 28k car!

Every few so-oftens I get the crazy idea that having two vehicles isn't the brightest thing financially. So I look at cars like this that would have the performance that would keep me interested and a back seat and towing ability.

I'm getting that look in my eye again. If only the Cayman hadn't lost so much value in the past year

very fun car....similiar to my GTO..but a little more refined. Good balance, great power, interior is a bargain for what you pay.

My dad is about to get rid of his 745li and replace it w/ one of these.....he's owned 7 series since the very early 90's...
