VW Scirocco is the 2009 TUNE IT! SAFE!
#1
The promotional Scirocco naturally showcases many tuning parts from VDAT member companies. One of the modifications come from main TUNE IT! SAFE! sponsor Hankook with their low and wide type Ventus S1 evo tires in size 245/30 ZR 20. In addition to the Essen Motor Show the 2009 TUNE IT! SAFE! Scirocco will tour various tuning fairs and events outfitted in the blue-silver police live

The new Scirocco is really growing on me. I had a 1st gen Scirocco for about and month and loved that car. The thing was soooo light and fun. I also had a few of the gen two Sciroccos, but they weren't quite as fun, still great though. I love that VW has gone back to it's roots and made fun cars again.

if all goes well we can expect it by the end of next year. but then again, that will coincide with the launch of the MKVI GTI

I'd rather have the Scirocco... Hmmm a Scirocco and a 997TT. Sounds like a good combo.

I saw a Scirocco a few weeks ago parked outside my place. Beautiful car. AFAIK, Vw will bring a special edition Scirocco to the U.S, pricing it well above the GTI so that they won't compete. Also, you guys are missing out on the S3. Start buying more compact cars!

Dave - Besides hot, blonde Swedish girls, I've been begging for S3s, RS6s, "real" Evos, etc. to come to the US for a long time! I've had a MkIII GTI VR6, MkV GTI, A3 2.0T Sportback, etc. I'd kill for an S3 and I love the Scirocco. My wife keeps praying the Alfa MiTo comes over. I told her she might be lucky to get the 149 (and I'll make sure it's the 149 GTA). Believe me, there are plenty of us here that love them, but too many Americans want trucks and SUVs so they can get 4mpg while they get groceries 2 miles away.
