I hope to get a Pearl white G55 over dark brown.

Forget the Range, take a G55 !
I have a '07 Range Rover V8 Vogue since my father bought it new ... in 2007
now he has 19'000km (11'000 miles) and I go to the garage at least once a mounth, last week my terrain response broken ... suddenly without reasons !
My father has Range since more than 18 years and he never had a RR without problems (mecanics, electronics, ...)
I hope that my opinion can help you to don't make the wrong choice

Thats true, my parents owned a 95 Range, 96 4.6 HSE model and a 2002 4.4 they all went to the garage once in every 2-3 months or so. When you buy a range rover you need to be willing to spend a lot for it to be fixed.

The most stupid is that Land Rover don't want to hear speak about his product's problems !
I have sent a lot of letters and letters but it's always the same thing
"Were sorry but we are not the responsables of your problems, anyway your car is under garanty ..."
In french, for this we say "paroles, paroles, ..." a popular french song ...

That's strange, either I don't put a lot of miles on mine or I've just been lucky. Never had 1 single issue with either the full size RR or the RRS. Then again, never been offroad or driven hard and never saw over 40,000 miles. *knock on wood*

What is the track record of G55's in terms of reliability?

I didn't notice that the first time around. Maybe some dead baby seals next to it would have been the icing on the cake.

G55 all the way. It's amazing. Besides, you see RR's everywhere.
