Blu Ray Player that controls all actions

I am fed up with the intro crap on Blu-Ray discs.

Is there a player that lets you go straight to the menu, and skip all the crap they put in front of the movie?

I don't think there is a solution, as commercial players are simply designed to do what the disc says and don't have much in terms of an ability to interpret the fact that an ad is just an ad.

Have you tried netflix? The online viewing is getting better and better.

It is currently impossible to have proper Blu-ray quality sound and video from Netflix. Netflix doesn't have the pipes, nor does it make sense to jam that much data for one stinking user.

There are hacked players out there, I would look at those all region players and see where it takes you.

not sure what you mean by hacked.

as to the player presumably there is some standard for how data is stored on a blu ray disc, so a player theoretically could go straight to a data set....or am I missing something
